Wordsmith

I have always been a personal fan of writing. Ever since I was young, I always felt more expressive in the literary arts than the visual ones. While I have a healthy respect for all art forms, I feel a kinship to writing that I have never felt with another form of artistic expression. Perhaps this is because of my passion for reading as well, considering the two go hand-in-hand.

At any rate, out of my deep respect for the power of writing, I have chosen today's feature blog, Wordsmith. According to the writer on his About page for the blog, "I am a wordsmith. I need to practise my writing, so I am attempting to write a short story every day for a year. Some will be bad, some will be good, all will be written in a rush as I count down to a daily deadline."

While I have encountered many blogs of similar dedication, most have been with fairly uninteresting layouts or overcrowded with information irrelevant to the topic. Some may find either of these more suitable to their tastes, but as for my own, I believe the writer at Wordsmith employs the wiser of the option choices for his site. It is incredibly easy to navigate and find what you want, which are the individual story tidbits.

a.k.a: human

I think it would be very appropriate to do a little "Friday Spotlight" on some new and promising blogs, every Friday. I'll peruse some more recently created blogs, find one with potential, and drop it here for everyone to enjoy. Hopefully, we can get these writers to continue into the world of blogging!

Today's "Friday Spotlight" goes to a.k.a: human, a "place where human emotion, and (some) human sexuality will be analyzed and questioned." The writer breaks down the basis of our minds, and presents personal, as well as professional, experience to not only validate an opinion, but open our mind to new ones. Readers will not leave the blog without at least having questioned their own emotions intensely.

After reading the posts myself, I couldn't help but be caught up in deep thought about who I am, and how I portray myself. There's quite a bit more to my psyche than I thought (no pun intended!). Question your mind at a.k.a: human.

A delicious blog is being cooked up over at Easy Affordable Tasty Food!

I recently found this tasty piece of work on the Bloggeries forum, where blog writers congregate to discuss, optimize, and show off their blog. After stumbling upon it, I began to peruse the selection of dishes that the blog's mysterious (his name is found nowhere on the blog, as far as I can tell) creator posted.

Needless to say, I immediately had to make myself some of the food.

What's better about this blog than the easy meals that you can whip up real quick is that every post has step-by-step instructions, and each step is partnered with a representative picture! If you usually get lost while following cookbooks and recipe guides, this should increasingly simplify the procedure.
