Carver PhotoCinema

"Carver PhotoCinema is a photography studio, based out of the San francisco bay Area, CA. Founded by Callib L. Carver, Carver PhotoCinema is dedicated to creating stunning artistic and alternative photographs. Using new media, we hope to capture the attention of people across the world."

That is a pretty bold statement for any sort of business to make, especially so for a photography studio. Every teenager and his/her uncle is a "photographer," it would seem, and you know what? That is most certainly fine by me. If you want to wield a camera and say you like to take pictures, more power to you. Who am I to stifle the artistic determination of anybody?

Then there are those that might consider themselves professional photographers by meeting the same requirements as I listed above. Here the typical checklist for becoming a professional photographer these days:

1. A Nikon camera

And you're done, it would seem. If only a cursory knowledge of computers made me a professional IT guy! Now that would be something, eh? Alas, the owning of equipment does not usually qualify one for professional work in that subject.

a.k.a: human

I think it would be very appropriate to do a little "Friday Spotlight" on some new and promising blogs, every Friday. I'll peruse some more recently created blogs, find one with potential, and drop it here for everyone to enjoy. Hopefully, we can get these writers to continue into the world of blogging!

Today's "Friday Spotlight" goes to a.k.a: human, a "place where human emotion, and (some) human sexuality will be analyzed and questioned." The writer breaks down the basis of our minds, and presents personal, as well as professional, experience to not only validate an opinion, but open our mind to new ones. Readers will not leave the blog without at least having questioned their own emotions intensely.

After reading the posts myself, I couldn't help but be caught up in deep thought about who I am, and how I portray myself. There's quite a bit more to my psyche than I thought (no pun intended!). Question your mind at a.k.a: human.

BlogU

With the advent of simple blogging, available to people of all walks of life and styles, the number of personal blogs has soared to incredible proportions. A reader can find just about anything they want, from excellent culinary choices in the city of their desire, to how to play the latest and greatest games with ease. Everybody can, and does, blog.

What makes my blog stick out, though? This is the question all half-decent blog writers should (and most likely will) inevitably encounter. It's important to consider whether or not your blog will actually draw readers, or simply collect cyber dust.

If this is your dilemma, then Annie is here to save the day. She's the writer for the immensely popular "BlogU," which is a crash course in good blog design. BlogU (a clever name devised to mean "Blog University") features a minimalist, but exceedingly elegant, design that reflects the author's ability to cleanly and professionally construct strong blogs.
