Project Earth Rover

Does anyone remember the post I did recently on the Hampture blog, where an underwater society of hamsters was constructed for science (successfully, I might add)? If you don't, I suggest you go back and read up on it, as there's a lot of interesting (and insane) stuff in that post.

This time, I bring you the same author on a different project. For the sake of science, and battling squirrels, he has decided to do initiate Project Earth Rover, an experiment to see if remotely operated robots can do exploring for us through the forests and terrain, in a safe environment.

People Are Idiots

Stupid people are... well, stupid. That's pretty much the message preached at "People are Idiots," a blog for fun little stories about all of the crazy people out there in the world do their crazy stuff. Now, everyone can have a laugh at someone else's expense, in blog form!

Here's a little piece of the People are Idiots blog:

"So eventually, after over an hour of waiting, it was my turn. Normally this is where I would end this blog post, but today was a very very special day. I went in and saw the Doc. I informed him I had the blood test done last Saturday and was here to get the results. He looked through my chart and asked Are you sure you had it done? As a little piece of me died inside, I confirmed that yes, I did it. The results weren't there so he'd have someone contact the lab. 35 minutes later he returned with the results. Which were almost perfect. And almost two hours after I got there I was finally able to go. What a great day indeed."

What can you say? People are Idiots!

No One I Think Is In My Tree

UPDATE: I apologize that this post was late. It should have been Friday's post, instead of the new-blog spotlight, but I was busy with family. Normal posts on a normal schedule will be up on Monday.

Philosophy is an under-appreciated but phenomenally important area of intellectuality. Whether it comes down to the basic understanding of what is right and wrong, to the difference between one gray area and another, philosophy is present. It is a powerful tool in the art of persuasion and in logic, being able to turn the tides of a discussion in favor of he or she with the best understanding.

No One I Think Is In My Tree is a blog dedicated (mostly) to the examination and introduction of select philosophical topics -- and some good, classic rock, of course.

Here's an example of something one would find on this blog:

"If you want to discover a principle, doubt of anything that isn't 100% true all the time. The sensible world isn't certain, thus my senses aren't trustworthy. Anything I consider logic and true now can just be an illusion, a deceive. But, if it is indeed an illusion, there's necessarily someone who is being deceived. If the world is imaginary, there's somebody conducting cerebral processes and imagining the whole thing. Thus, If I think, I must exist."

To visit, or not to visit? That's not really the question, since you should FOR SURE be visiting No One I Think Is In My Tree. ;P
